
A historic affordable housing build will be opening its doors next week to residents.
Port Cares new $16-million build on Chestnut Street in Port Colborne will be opening on Wednesday with a ribbon cutting, as low income seniors and single-parent families will be moving into the brand-new building’s 41 units throughout the week.
CEO Christine Clark Lafleur says it’s been incredible to see the progress.
Clark Lafleur says the need for affordable housing across the region is serious.
The project broke ground in July 2023.
