
We are continuing to highlight local provincial election ridings in Niagara, today taking a look at Niagara Centre.
The riding is currently held by Jeff Burch of the NDP, who won the seat in 2018, while the party has held the seat since it was the riding of Welland in 1975.
In total, the riding has a population of nearly 110,000, including residents from Welland, Port Colborne, Thorold and parts of southern St. Catharines.
Also running in Niagara Centre is Port Colborne Mayor Bill Steele for the Progressive Conservatives, Liberal candidate Damien O’Brien, Natashia Bergen for the Green Party, Jimmy Jackson for the New Blue Party, Ontario Party candidate Darryl Weinberg, and Ontario Alliance candidate Angela Browne.
Election day is February 27th.
