US President Donald Trump has set a date for tariffs on Canada and Mexico.
That clock is now ticking for the US government to move ahead with with 25% across-the-board tariffs on Canadian imports.
President Donald Trump made the comments of the tariffs coming into affect for both Canada and Mexico as soon as January ends, citing his concerns with border security with both countries.
Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc responded saying Ottawa is ready and has responses prepared for different scenarios.
Previously, Ontario Premier Doug Ford had proposed cutting off power to nearly 1-million Americans near the Ontario-US border, as well as pulling American product off of LCBO shelves as a response.
