For over three decades, Ideal Plumbing & Heating has built a reputation for providing reliable, top-quality service to the Niagara community. Founded in 1993, the company has grown from humble beginnings to become a trusted name in plumbing, heating, and air conditioning solutions. Mark Sanecki, the company’s Co-owner & President, took over the business with his partner in 2007 and has been a key figure in its continued success.
Sanecki says from the beginning, he knew the model had to focus on winning for everyone involved—customers, employees, and the company itself. He says things like showing up on time, doing great work, and respecting customers and their homes are all core values of the company, but also making sure that employees have great pay and a balanced work-life situation.
Mark highlights the importance of clear communication and flexibility in scheduling. Unlike larger companies that often provide vague time frames, Ideal Plumbing gives its customers a more precise service window. “We know how frustrating it can be when you’re waiting for a service tech. We try to accommodate schedules, so customers can go about their day while we handle the issue.”
The evolution of technology has also played a role in the company’s operations. Sanecki noted that in the past few decades, plumbing materials have shifted from copper to plastic, and now there’s a push to return to copper in some areas. Refrigerant changes, driven by environmental concerns, have also transformed how heating and cooling systems are serviced. “We respect the environment and are committed to leaving a healthy world for future generations,” he emphasized.
With the holiday season upon us, Mark reminded customers of the importance of maintaining heating systems. Cold weather can cause issues like broken furnaces or boilers, often at the most inconvenient times. Regular maintenance ensures that families stay safe and warm during the holidays, particularly when hosting out-of-town guests.
Mark also touched on the issue of plumbing emergencies during extreme cold. A common problem in the winter is burst pipes. These issues typically arise during sudden cold snaps, and Ideal Plumbing is ready to respond.
As a local business, Ideal Plumbing has built a loyal customer base by offering personalized service. “When people call us, they know they’re speaking to someone who understands their needs, not a call center hundreds of miles away.” Ideal Plumbing takes pride in answering every call themselves, ensuring customers feel heard and valued.
The company’s dedication to community is clear in its commitment to staying available year-round. “We’re an on-call business, which means no matter the day, we’re ready to help,” Sanecki adds. “Even during our staff holiday parties, there’s always someone on call to handle any emergencies.”
Looking ahead to 2025, Mark is optimistic about the future, and wants to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year..
