It is Canadian Small Business Week, as we’ll be featuring Niagara Region businesses throughout the week.
Today we’re chatting with Gill Beaudry, the Founder of Dun-Rite Aluminum and Vinyl in Welland. He started his business in 1975, and it’s seen its fair share of growth since then.
Dun-Rite has grown into two locations, one in Welland and one in Niagara Falls. and is the largest stocking dealer in the Niagara Region with over 400 windows in stock, over 25 colours of Canadian made vinyl siding in stock, and 4 brands of sliding patio doors.
Gill says the support from the community is what got them there.
These days, the day-to-day operation of Dun-Rite is handled by Gill’s son Marc, who says it feels good to help people – and often sees generations of families coming in.
Marc has been working alongside his father for 15 years, including the last 5 running the business. They both say they feel they have a lot of similarities as workers, which makes things run smoothly.
