Niagara Regional Police issued 86 tickets during their recent Back-to-School Safety Blitz, aimed at ensuring road safety in school zones.
Officers conducted stops on 147 vehicles across the region, resulting in 57 tickets for speeding and 29 for various infractions such as distracted driving, seat belt violations, and aggressive driving.
In addition to the tickets, officers issued 56 warnings.
During the blitz, police also arrested three individuals who were found to have outstanding warrants.
Authorities emphasize the importance of following road safety rules, particularly in school zones, and remind the public that they will continue to focus on traffic safety in these areas.
