Niagara police have arrested a 48-year-old Niagara Falls man on a range of firearm and drug-related charges.
The arrest follows an investigation that began on August 30th, when officers responded to a report of threats made in St. Catharines.
The investigation revealed that a woman’s ex-partner had allegedly threatened to harm her and damage her property.
Further examining suggested that the man might be in illegal possession of firearms.
On August 31st, police searched a residence in the Glenholme Avenue and High Street area of Niagara Falls. Inside, they found a sawed-off shotgun, high-powered pellet rifles, a BB revolver, and substantial quantities of suspected cocaine, fentanyl, and crystal methamphetamine.
The suspect has been taken into custody and is now facing multiple charges related to firearms and drug possession.
