Niagara Regional Police are giving a heads up about some training in the community this week.
On Thursday and Friday of this week, the Emergency Task Unit will be conducting indoor/outdoor training in the area of Centre Street and Canboro Road in Pelham.
The training will occur between 9AM to 3PM Thursday, and from 9AM until noon Friday. There will also be signage in the area. Traffic in the immediate area should be unaffected.
Members of the public in the area should expect the sound of simulated gun fire, an increased police presence, the sound of controlled explosions and the possible smell of smoke. NRPS is also asking residents to stay away from the training sites for everyone’s safety.
