13 men have been arrested after and charged an NRPS human trafficking project in Niagara Falls.
Police say the project targeted people using the internet to meet with young people at a hotel in Niagara Falls, and offering them money in exchange for sexual services.
Over a four-day period, 13 people were arrested including:
- Male (31 yrs.) Niagara Falls, Ontario
- Male (51 yrs.) Niagara on the Lake, Ontario
- Male (52 yrs.) St. Catharines, Ontario
- Male (25 yrs.) Thorold, Ontario
- Male (50 yrs.) Thorold, Ontario
- Male (23 yrs.) Welland, Ontario
- Male (22 yrs.) St. Catharines, Ontario
- Male (33 yrs.) Windsor, Ontario
- Male (20 yrs.) Niagara Falls, Ontario
- Male (44 yrs.) St. Catharines, Ontario
- Male (60 yrs.) Buffalo, New York
- Male (37 yrs.) Niagara Falls, Ontario
- Male (27 yrs.) Niagara Falls, Ontario
All 13 men have been charged with:
- Luring a Child for the Purpose of Obtaining Sexual Services
- Obtaining Sexual Services for Consideration from a Person Under 18 Years
- Invite / Counsel, Sexual Exploitation of a Young Person
They’ve all been arrested and were held for virtual bail hearings.
NRPS Chief Bill Fordy says these arrests showcase the dedication of the service to ensure protection over the most vulnerable members of the community.
