The District School Board of Niagara named Kelly Pisek its new Director of Education in December, and she’s settling into the role well.
Pisek says there’s certainly some things to learn, but she’s enjoying it.
Pisek adds that with her children graduating and moving away, the timing was right for her to take on more responsibility.
When asked if she’s more excited or intimidated by maintaining DSBN’s good reputation, she says excitement is the feeling she has more than anything.
Pisek took over from Warren Hoshizaki, who announced his retirement in 2023 after an 18-year tenure as the Director of Education with the DSBN.
