Niagara Regional Police say a school bus driver has been charged after a collision earlier this week in Welland.
As previously reported, officers were called just before 8:00am to the intersection of Canal Bank Street and Ontario Road after a collision between a blue Ford F150 and a school bus.
Police found that the school bus failed to remain at the scene of the collision, and shortly afterwards got calls reporting a school bus driving northbound on Prince Charles Drive on three wheels. Officers were able to stop the bus near Prince Charles Drive and Thorold Road, while the driver and four children on the bus were uninjured.
The driver of the F150 was treated for minor injuries.
The 77-year-old bus driver has been charged with careless driving and failure to remain at the scene of a collision.
