Provincial pre-budget consultations took up much of Thursday for local provincial representatives, with tourism being one of the biggest talking points.
MPP for Niagara Falls, Fort Erie & Niagara-on-the-Lake Wayne Gates says the Shaw Festival was among items discussed.
Gates adds that tourism is a vital sector to protect.
Other presentations included were from Niagara Nutrition Partners, ALS Society, the Canadian Mental Health Association, and the Federation of Ontario Public Libraries.
