The victims of Wednesday’s fatal crash at the Rainbow Bridge border crossing have been identified as a married couple.
According to a press release from the Niagara Falls Police Department issued on Friday, the individuals in the vehicle that caught fire are 53-year-old Kurt P. Villani and his wife, 53-year-old Monica Villani, both hailing from Grand Island, New York.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, led by the Niagara Falls Police Department’s crash management unit.
As of now, no additional details about the crash have been disclosed.
