The budget process might look a bit different, but it is still a collective effort and that won’t change.
That sentiment is being put out by Welland Mayor Frank Campion, who says despite ‘strong mayor powers’ and ‘veto’ ability, councillors will still get their say on the 2024 financial plan.
Looking closer at the document, Campion brought forward a budget with a 2.68 percent last week and says staff has really done a good job balancing needs while having respect for taxpayers.
Another special budget meeting will be held Monday.
