Several Remembrance Day ceremonies will take place in Niagara this weekend to honour both past and present soldiers.
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 350 in Port Dalhousie will host a Remembrance Day Parade on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., causing potential traffic delays in the Lakeport Road area.
In addition, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 418 is organizing a mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 10 a.m., followed by a wreath laying ceremony at the Canadian Polish Society at 11 a.m.
The Lincoln and Welland Regiment in St. Catharines will hold a special service at the Cenotaph in Memorial Park on St. Paul Street, featuring a 10 a.m. appearance by the Duchess of Edinburgh, Sophie Helen Rhys-Jones.
