On Saturday, September 23, at 7:33 pm, emergency services responded to a serious collision in Niagara Falls involving a 44-year-old cyclist.
The cyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to an out-of-town trauma center, where he remains critical.
The collision occurred when he was struck by a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox SUV driven by a 73-year-old female on Portage Road near Upper Rapids Road. No charges have been filed and the collision remains under investigation.
