The Niagara Catholic District School Board has given the green light to its budget for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year.
The approved spending plan amounts to $294 million, which is $15 million higher than last year’s budget.
The board’s priorities within the budget include strengthening early reading and mathematics education, supporting Indigenous education initiatives, addressing mental health concerns, and allocating funds for de-streaming efforts.
