A celebration of life and tribute to Niagara music legend Douglas Roy will take place on Saturday at the John Michaels Banquet and Event Centre in Thorold. Several Elvis tribute artists and other performers will be on hand, and friends and family will have the opportunity to say a few words to remember Doug, widely considered one of the first and best Elvis tribute artists of all time. He passed away at the age of 75 on November 27th after battling multiple health issues. Doors will open at 2 pm Saturday for a meet and greet, and musical tributes will begin at 3 pm. The event is open to the public.
