Canadian health research leaders met in Niagara recently to explore ways to improve the tracking of research in community hospitals, with the goal of accelerating advancements in patient care.
Organized by the Niagara Health Knowledge Institute, the meeting focused on developing a standardized approach to reporting research activity in community hospitals across Canada.
With no current uniform criteria for research reporting-particularly as more research takes place outside large academic hospitals-the aim is to create a system that more effectively integrates research findings into healthcare.
More than 50 experts from eight provinces participated in the discussion.
