A St. Catharines resident has been charged in connection to a fraudulent online job scam.
Last month, a victim applied for a job online, was quickly hired after a one-minute interview, and was instructed to buy computer equipment using a fake cheque.
The victim unknowingly returned $2,000 via e-transfer before discovering the cheque was fraudulent.
24-year-old Sunday Kehinde is now charged with fraud under $5,000 and laundering proceeds of crime.
