The Welland Jackfish have locked in right-handed pitcher Brandon Marklund for the 2025 season.
Marklund, who joined the team in 2024, was dominant in the postseason, posting a perfect 0.00 ERA with 15 strikeouts.
The former Kansas City Royals prospect also pitched for Team Canada in the 2019 WBSC Premier12.
They continue to strengthen their bullpen with the return of right-handed pitcher Euclides Leyer.
Leyer, an IBL All-Star in 2019, recently played in Mexico and Nicaragua, where he posted a 1.65 ERA.
He also competed for Team Curaçao in the 2025 Series of the Americas.
The Jackfish open their season at home on Saturday, May 17, against the Barrie Baycats.
