Trudeau says Canada will respond purposely, forcefully, and resolutely if the US moves forward tariffs

The “all Canada” approach went up a notch this week following meeting with the countries Premiers and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

At a press conference, the minister and Prime Ministers talked about Canada coming together with the looming threat of a 25 per cent tariff on all Canadian goods beginning on January 20th, inauguration day – with Trudeau saying Canada will be ready if that happens.

Trudeau and the premiers said they plan to continue making the case to the Trump administration that tariffs will hurt American businesses and industry.

Earlier this week, the Ontario government announced Fortress Am-Can, with the goal of strengthening borders into the US.
