In December, the Niagara Regional Police launched an investigation into an individual suspected of violating the conditions of his release order.
On Tuesday, January 7, detectives apprehended 30-year-old Joshua Scholtens.
During the arrest, evidence led officers to believe that Scholtens was involved in drug trafficking.
Consequently, a search warrant was obtained for a residence in St. Catharines.
The search resulted in the seizure of 55.4 grams of cocaine, 587.3 grams of psilocybin, 1.8 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and $710 in Canadian currency.
Scholtens now faces multiple charges.
