Niagara Regional Police conducted R.I.D.E. spot checks in Lincoln and Thorold on Wednesday, stopping approximately 650 vehicles.
Officers screened 21 drivers for alcohol, all of whom provided acceptable breath samples and were allowed to continue driving.
However, two drivers were charged for using phones while driving, including one who had a device mounted on the dashboard and was watching a video. Both were given tickets.
