
Ontario is introducing legislation that will help municipalities clear homeless encampments out of public parks.
Municipal Affairs and Housing Minister Paul Calandra said the government has heard concerns from the public.
Audio PlayerNew measures include stronger trespass laws and fines or jail time for illegal drug use in public. Calandra says encampments pose too many risks to the public to continue the way they are.
