Niagara Regional Police responded to a threats call at Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School in St. Catharines yesterday after INTERPOL Washington was alerted by Snapchat about a local user’s post involving a threat and an apparent weapon.
Police identified and arrested a 15-year-old student, determining the threat was an ill-advised joke with no credible danger.
School activities were unaffected, and the student was released without charges under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
