
The OPP, in partnership with Niagara Regional Police, dismantled a drug trafficking operation based in the GTA that was funneling drugs and weapons into the Niagara Region.
The investigation, launched in April by the Provincial Joint Forces Guns and Gangs Enforcement Team, led to four search warrants in Brampton.
Police seized 2.7 kg of suspected fentanyl, 1.2 kg of suspected cocaine, 330 grams of suspected MDMA, 11 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 113 suspected oxycodone tablets, 50 suspected hydromorphone tablets, four handguns, a shotgun, ammunition, and $316,000 in cash.
29 year old Michael Navarro faces 27 charges and remains in custody with a court date on November 21.
32 year old Kathy Ann Samuels was charged with possession for trafficking and released with a December 5 court date.
