Detectives are investigating a fatal fire in Thorold over the weekend.
Sunday, crews were called to the area of Beaverdams Road and Baker Street, finding a residence on fire. An adult male was located suffering from life threatening injuries as a result of the fire. He was transported to a local hospital where he was tragically pronounced deceased.
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Officer is assisting in the investigation.
