Demolition of the former Niagara Falls Memorial Arena has started.
The work will happen in stages, with crews spraying the inside of the building first to assist in removing a large amount on sand.
The arena was officially decommissioned in 2010, after the Gale Centre was built. The arena has once home to the Niagara Falls Flyers, Canucks and Thunder.
