
The summer months are in full swing!
The kids are off school and there’s more traffic on the roads with people traveling to their summer destinations.
We spoke with Bill Dickson, OPP Media Relations Coordinator, who had this to share with motorists.

If you’re driving past a cyclist, Dickson shared a reminder you’re to give them 1 meter or 3 feet of space.
Audio PlayerIt’s often said Canada really only has two seasons – winter and construction.
With that in mind, construction season is in full swing across the region, with a lot of areas down to one-lane as crews work. Dickson says if you’re driving through a construction zone, you should show the workers respect and slow down – even if it means having to leave earlier than usual.
Audio PlayerOne more thing: If you’re out on the water, bring your life jacket with you; If you’re on a bike or ATV, wear a helmet; And if you’re getting behind the wheel, make sure you buckle up.
