Welland Fire and Emergency Services recently concluded several prosecutions in Provincial Offences Court related to fire safety inspections dating back to 2021, resulting in significant fines.
WFES fire prevention officers conduct thorough inspections of properties throughout the city, enforcing the Ontario Fire Code and offering fire and life safety education.
Deputy Fire Chief Matt Richardson emphasizes that fire prevention officers are dedicated to ensuring residents and visitors prioritize fire safety in their homes and workplaces.
