The Niagara River Lions have picked up their first win of the season – and in impressive fashion.
The River Lions defeated the Brampton Honey Badgers 103-60 on Thursday evening at the Meridian Centre, the team’s home opener for the 2024 season.
It started early for Niagara, who jumped out to a 15-2 lead to open the game and avenge a loss to the Honey Badgers in the season opener last week. Omari Moore, who has spent time with the NBA G League’s Raptors 905, scored 18 points and had 8 assists in the win.
Now at 1-1 on the season, the River Lions head to Scarborough on Saturday to take on the Shooting Stars.
