Construction of the South Niagara Hospital has now moved above ground.
Previously, work was focused on the underground foundation, which included stormwater and sanitary sewers, waterlines, and electrical systems.
Over the next two years, the building will grow to its full height of 12 storeys, reaching 61 meters.
By April 2026, the structure will be complete, with the exterior finishes following shortly after.
The site currently has 160 workers, but this number will increase to over 1,000 at peak construction periods.
The hospital, located at Montrose and Biggar roads in Niagara Falls, is set to open in 2028, offering comprehensive medical services and specialized care centers.
