April’s Solar Eclipse resulted in tons of free advertising for Niagara Falls, according to a recent study.
In total, a study by Agility PR through Niagara Parks, found that the April 8th total solar eclipse generated over 45,000 unique pieces of media coverage – equivalent to roughly $5.7-billion in free advertising for Niagara Falls.
Across those stories, it’s estimated roughly 33 billion impressions were made online for the celestial event. The event, which Niagara Parks says was attended by 200,000 people, prompted a state of emergency in the region as up to one-million were anticipated at one point.
Niagara Falls was also dubbed the best place in the world to view the solar eclipse, according to National Geographic.
