With a dreary and wet spring underway, we wanted to know what the experts predict for summer.
So we turned to Senior Climatologist for Environment and Climate Change Canada David Phillips. Here’s what he has to say about summer in Ontario, just in time for the long weekend.
Nice temperatures and a normal amount of rain? Phillips says Ontarians will be happy with that. At least most will.
Outdoor lovers can rejoice because, as Phillips puts it Ontarians love being outside during the warmer months.
Of course, he notes that things can change, and with the summer months comes a larger risk for stormy weather, tornadoes, hail, and violent damage-causing wind gusts.
His advice? Check the forecast daily. You can do so on Classic Rock 91.7 Giant FM & Niagara’s New Country 89.1, where you’ll also hear weather warnings as they happen.
