Welland Fire has shared some messages to help make sure everyone is best prepared in case of an emergency. Bob Perreault has more.
This week is designated as Emergency Preparedness Week, and will see a number of emergency groups sharing messages to help make sure you’re good if there’s an emergency.
One that’s being stressed by Welland Fire is having an emergency kit ready that will last you 72-hours if needed. This would include non-perishable food, flashlights, and a battery-operated radio.
Welland Fire adds that having a plan if there’s an emergency is also crucial, as well as staying up to date with what local authorities are saying.
