Getting into the family business because you’re raised in it is one thing – but marrying into a family business is something that isn’t quite as common.
For Trevor Van Hoffen, that’s exactly what he did. Now serving as the Retail Manager for Niagara Fresh, Van Hoffen got involved after getting married to his wife Julia, who’s father Peter Glasbergen is a third generation farmer himself.
Van Hoffen takes a lot of pride in his work on the retail-half of farming, but says this wasn’t always the plan for him – but was a natural fit.
Since its beginnings in the 50s, Van Hoffen added that Niagara Fresh Market has grown significantly, which includes delivery of pre-made boxes across Niagara.
