While the price of gas went up late last week, many felt that impact while at the pumps over the weekend as well.
President of Canadians for Affordable Energy Dan McTeague says there is some science behind the more expensive summer blends of gasoline.
McTeague adds that another reason for the higher prices is the strength of the loonie.
The trends aren’t just in Canada, they’re being seen nationwide according to McTeague.
In Niagara, a number of gas stations are carrying regular fuel for $1.70/litre.
