One of Canada’s oldest residents live in Fort Erie, and celebrated his birthday over the weekend.
Burdett Sisler, Burd for short, turned 109 on Sunday.
Burd served in World War II, has lived through two pandemics, as well as two solar eclipses. He has 5 children, 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren. He currently lives at Garrison Place. According to records found, he is currently Canada’s 15th oldest resident.
On his 109th birthday during a visit from MPP Wayne Gates, Sisler says his goal is to see his 110th birthday.
