Gord Singleton, the renowned Canadian cyclist, has passed away at the age of 67.
A native of Niagara Falls, Singleton achieved numerous accolades during his career, including a world title in 1982 and represented Canada at the 1976 Olympics in Montreal.
Singleton was the first Canadian to win gold in cycling track at the world level and made history by holding world records in all three of track cycling’s sprint races simultaneously. After his cycling career, Singleton ran Niagara Battery and Tire.
