A new 46-bed modular shelter has opened at 29 Riordon Street in St. Catharines, providing temporary housing for people experiencing homelessness.
Constructed in a few months, the shelter aims to get more individuals off the streets and into safe accommodations.
St. Catharines Mayor Mat Siscoe emphasized the importance of the shelter in moving people out of encampments and into safer spaces.
