Canada’s newest university is getting ready to open their doors to students in April.
The University of Niagara Falls Canada will start it’s inaugural term on April 1st, and will welcome community members and prospective students today for an open house.
Provost and Vice-President Dr. David Gray says the school’s focus on technology will be apparent.
University of Niagara Falls Canada announced the appointment of Dr. David Gray as its new Provost and Vice-President, Academic in September 2023, while he started his tenure with the school in November. An academician with a rich history of leadership, the school notes Dr. Gray brings a wealth of experience to UNF, further strengthening the university’s commitment to academic excellence.
He adds that UNF has been working closely with Niagara College and Brock University locally to ensure they’re all working together in the best interest of the region. Dr. Gray notes that it’s important the new school isn’t competition, but rather supplemental to education.
The school’s three graduate degree offerings include Master of Data Analytics, Master of Management and Master of Digital Media & Global Communications. In the fall, UNF also plans on offering two bachelor programs: Honours Bachelor of Business Administration and Honours Bachelor of Science – Biomedical Sciences.
He adds that they’re excited to be a part of the Niagara Falls community, as he thinks it will also serve as a significant boost to the surrounding area in Niagara Falls.
Today’s open house starts at 4:00pm, you can register here.
