IceDogs Captain Gavin Bryant has been named the OHL Player of the Week, contributing two goals and seven points while registering a plus-3 rating in three games.
Gavin scored Thursday as the Dogs grabbed a big point from the top ranked Sudbury Wolves. Saturday night, Bryant picked up two more assists including the helper on the overtime winner in a 5-4 decision in Peterborough. Sunday afternoon, the captain closed out the weekend tying his single game high with four points on a goal and three assists in a 6-4 win over North Bay.
Out muscling a Battalion defender, Bryant’s late goal was his 100th point in the OHL. Gavin is a 19-year-old from Ingersoll, and came to the league from the Brantford 99ers AAA U16 program.
