The Rotary Club of Fonthill recently contributed $1,500 to the Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Niagara Chapter, enhancing their support for Ukrainian newcomers in Niagara.
Irene Newton, the UCC-Niagara President, updated the Rotary Club on the community’s efforts to aid families fleeing Ukraine and send support items.
The funds will help purchase essentials like mattresses, tables, food, medication, and clothing for Ukrainian newcomers, while UCC-Niagara collaborates with the local community for accommodation, employment, and cultural integration.
