A fire under the Division Street Bridge in Welland has been deemed suspicious.
On Wednesday afternoon, emergency services personnel responded to the Division Street Bridge after reports of an explosion. The explosions are believed to be linked to propane cylinders.
It’s believed two men got into an argument that escalated and a victim was robbed of his personal possessions and a tent was set on fire. The victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
An arrest warrant has been sent out for 37-year-old Kyle James Armsworthy in connection. He is described as:
White male
6’2 feet tall
176 lbs
Blonde, red hair
Blue eyes
Tattoo – Upper back – “Armsworthy”
Members of the public who may recognize Armsworthy or know his current location are asked not to confront him and to call the police.
