The Rainbow Bridge border crossing has re-opened after a fatal vehicle explosion on Wednesday.
Two individuals lost their lives in the incident, occurring on the U.S. side of the crossing.
The Niagara Falls Police Department, now leading the investigation, has not disclosed the victims’ identities, pending positive identification and notification of next of kin.
Initially considered an act of terrorism, officials are now treating it as a traffic incident, and the investigation is expected to take time.
