Fort Erie leaders recently joined over 1,700 participants from 444 Ontario municipalities at the 2023 Association of Municipalities of Ontario Conference in London.
AMO is the top educational forum for municipal governments, connecting municipal officials directly with elected Ontario government to identify solutions to the most significant challenges municipalities face.
The event addressed key municipal challenges and allowed discussions on critical issues like healthcare, infrastructure, and horse racing industry support.
Mayor Wayne Redekop released this statement:
“AMO has once again provided Fort Erie with a great opportunity to openly discuss local concerns affecting our community with government officials representing various sectors. We were able to showcase what sets us apart from other municipalities and promote Fort Erie as a provincial asset and strategic location. On Town Council’s behalf, thank you to the Ministers, Parliamentary Assistants, and Ministry Staff who met with us. We look forward to strengthening our relationships for mutual benefit.”
