A Welland woman has won a MAXMILLIONS prize worth $1 million in the June 6 LOTTO MAX draw. Laurie Dale, a 63-year-old delivery driver, said she has been playing the lottery ever since she was old enough to do so. Laurie says she will take some time to let this win sink in. She plans on retiring next year, so this will serve as her retirement fund. She says maybe she’ll buy a new car too, and she still hasn’t gotten it through her head that she’s a winner. The winning ticket was purchased at Esso on Ontario Road in Welland.
