The City of Niagara Falls is inviting residents to celebrate the grand opening of the Millennium Recreational Trail’s Rotary Storywalk Pathway at a special event on Saturday, June 3, starting at 11 am. The opening of the Pathway marks the completion of the City’s Millennium Recreational Trail system, which spans over 7.5 kilometres along the Ontario Power Generation Canal, from McLeod Road to Whirlpool Road. The Millennium Recreational Trail system is made up of six different sections in total. The first section, the John McCall MacBain Pathway, was constructed in 1999. The grand opening event at Carolyn Park, will include a ribbon cutting and ceremonial speeches followed by the planting of 20 native trees throughout the area.
