A Wind Warning has been issued four South Niagara, while North Niagara remains under a Special Weather Statement from Environment Canada. Rain, heavy at times, is expected across the Region on Thursday, with total amounts of 15-25 mm possible. Meanwhile, the agency says South Niagara could see Southwesterly winds gusting from 90 to 100 km/h Thursday night, with the strongest winds expected for areas near Lake Erie, while North Niagara could see wind gusts near 80 km/h. Winds will diminish overnight into Friday morning.
